Empowerment Christian Center - A Place To
Summer Program 2008
B.A. Gary Gymnasium – Darlington, SC
Purpose:
To promote family and community unity; bring together the family, schools and
community to be the major keys to well rounded youth of the future.
Objective:
Planning, organizing and implementing summer activities for the Darlington youth under
the development and management of Empowerment Christian Center’s Youth
programs with the partnerships of the City of Darlington, Darlington Police Dept.,
DCSB, Darlington Housing Authority and other youth organizations/programs and
volunteers.
The Goal:
To prevent juvenile crime by supporting and promoting a community that works
together to help youth become healthy and productive citizens. Providing opportunities
for private citizens, government agencies, educators and businesses to offer in-kind
services during this summer will hopefully bring about a decrease in juvenile crime,
referrals to juvenile centers, and arbitration in the Darlington Municipal limits.
