Empowerment Christian Center - A Place To
The following is a brief description of each Spirit-filled service offered at Empowerment
Christian Center. Because we target a diverse body of believers that will come to experience
the fullness of God’s presence in various ways, there are many options at ECC.
WEEKEND SERVICES
SUNDAY SERVICES
11:30 am Worship (121 Theressa Drive) – At this service we seek a deeper presence of
God. The Praise and Worship Team and the Choir sing praises unto the Lord, and our
Pastor raises his energy level during his preaching. This is for the person who doesn’t want
to wake up too early on Sunday, but also doesn’t want to come too late. Attendees at this
service are a mixture of seasoned saints, middle-aged and young people.
In this service, Pastor White is usually much more free and takes a lot of risks in his
preaching, so as to appeal to the younger adult crowd on a level where they can easily
understand. Because he does not have the time constraints of the earlier service, you never
know how the Spirit will move at this contemporary, high energy service. This service
appeals primarily to a younger adult hip-hop generation who intends to hear a relevant Word
that is easily understood. Embracing his commitment to evangelism, Pastor White really
goes after lost souls and the holistic healing of the brokenhearted in this service.
Super Sunday Evening Service coming 2008 – Once a month, Pastor White feels that it is
important for the church family to come together for one mass service. With that in mind,
we have Super Sunday evening service every first Sunday at 6:00 pm. At this service, we
baptize all the wonderful new converts that God has given us, and the Praise and Worship
Team goes forth without the time constraints of our earlier Sunday services. Either our
Pastor, or one of his anointed friends from around the country will bring an Empowering
Word.
Saturday Service 2008 coming soon
Saturday Night Live – The Saturday Night Live service is a service that Pastor envisions
for every Saturday at 6:30 pm. Saturday Night Live is radical and definitely has a youthful
flavor! It is designed for people who like the idea of attending church on a Saturday evening,
being out by 8:00 pm, and then still having the option of enjoying dinner and a movie,
without having to get up on Sunday morning to attend service. It is also geared toward the
single individual who is looking for something positive to do. Along with our Praise and
Worship Team and Saturday Night Live Choir, we will also occasionally showcase other
forms of entertainment, including gospel rap, step shows, gospel poetry, etc. It is our
Pastor’s prayer that this service will attract many locals and visitors who would love to visit
ECC without having to forfeit Sunday service at their home church.
MIDWEEK SERVICES
Wednesday Power 4 Living Bible Studies
Pastor White believes that Sunday morning should be geared toward winning the lost, and
although it is important to grow the saints, many visitors attend service on Sunday and he
does not want to preach over anyone’s head. With that in mind, our Pastor firmly believes
that Sundays are for inspiration and revelation, but Tuesdays are when we get our spiritual
information. Do not rob yourself of the opportunity to take advantage of our man of God’s
ability to dive into the deep wonders of God. He has been studying for more than 15 years
and has attended one of the most respected bible colleges in the country. With an undeniable
anointing on his life achieving through surviving crucial life experiences, Pastor White is
fully equipped to teach you and grow your mind in a way that will lead to spiritual success
in every area of your life. Our Pastor has often said that he honestly enjoys teaching preps
more than preaching preps.
Prayer time is from 6:45pm – 7:00pm. Study time begins promptly at 7:00pm. Because
Pastor White respects your time, service normally lets out no later than 8:15 pm, so that you
and your family will have time to prepare for the next day.
